Certainly! On your Pixel phone, you can use the Live Translate feature to translate speech and text. Here’s how:
Translate Speech & Text:
Open your device’s Settings app.
Tap System ➡️ Live Translate.
Turn on Use Live Translate (it’s usually on by default).
To set a new default target language:
Tap Translate to.
Select a language.
To add more source languages, tap Add a language and select additional languages.
Supported languages include AR, DA, DE, EN, ES, FA, FR, HI, IT, JP, KO, NL, PL, PT, RU, SV, TH, TR, VI, zh_CN, and zh-TW.
You can also translate text messages on some chat apps when Live Translate is enabled. Just tap the language bubble to switch between the original and your chosen language.
Translate Text with Your Camera:
Open your Pixel’s search bar and tap Lens.
Use your camera to hover over text or take a photo of words you want to translate1.
Interpreter Mode (Pixel Fold):
Unfold your Pixel Fold.
Say “Hey Google” and a command like:
“Be my Italian interpreter.”
“How do I say ‘house’ in Spanish?”
“Turn on interpreter mode.”
Select a language to translate to.
Speak in your own language, and the outer screen will show the translation for the other person1.
