Parents/Guardians and students choose the Diploma Programme (DP) because it offers:
a challenging academic curriculum that serves as outstanding preparation for university and higher education;
a student-centered approach to teaching, focused on developing students intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially;
a focus on international-mindedness, compassion, and understanding intercultural differences;
respected, reliable and world-renowned academic preparation.
Universities regularly cite DP students as the best prepared for higher education. DP graduates excel at university and often begin their studies with advanced standing.
Current eighth-graders may apply in September as part of the Magnet & IB Program application. It depends on the child’s home high school:
If Colts Neck High School, Freehold Borough High School, Manalapan High School, or Marlboro High School is the child’s home school, they can apply to either or both IB programs.
If Freehold Township High School is the child’s home school, they can only apply to IB at FTHS, and are not eligible for IB at Howell. They may apply to any other Magnet Program.
If Howell High School is the child’s home school, they can only apply to IB at Howell and are not eligible for IB at FTHS. They may apply to any other Magnet Program.
