From the FRHSD AI Student Guideline (Version 1.0): "Artificial Intelligence or AI is technology that helps machines do tasks that usually need human intelligence, like solving problems or recognizing patterns. AI continues to develop and transform many areas of our lives, from self-driving cars to virtual assistants, and its impact is becoming increasingly important.
As you develop critical thinking skills and engage in challenging tasks, AI tools can serve as a support not a replacement for human decision-making or creation. Learning to leverage the power of AI is becoming an increasingly valuable skill as you plan for your future paths."
Remember that AI:
Can be considered cheating (refer to the chart below and the new FRHSD AI policy and be aware of your teachers' expectations.
Can make up information (aka hallucinate) and/or provide biased information.
Should be cited properly.
Should never be used "as is." Human editing is always important.
Can not become a replacement for your critical thinking and learning.
Is constantly changing but will most likely part of your future career.
Any use of Artificial Intelligence must align with expectations outlined by your teacher or administrator.
Assume all assignments are Level 0, unless otherwise stated by your teacher.
