Classroom Expectations

1. All students must be dressed in appropriate uniform and prepared to begin assignments at the bell. This includes ALL lectures, labs, and classroom activities. (Please refer to the Culinary Magnet Program dress code policy).

2. Students MUST arrive at class prepared with a writing utensil, their own notebook, folder/ binder, and charged Chromebook exclusive for the culinary class they are taking. Students that are not prepared for class will lose points for the day.

3. Student works such as hand-outs, lab sheets, documented projects, and research papers must be collectively saved for the 4 years of high school portfolio of the student’s culinary work must be saved in an organized manner for successful completion of the program and college articulation awards.

4. There is NO eating, drinking, or gum chewing EVER.

5. No “outside prepared food” is to be brought and/or stored in any of the refrigerators/freezers in the Culinary Magnet Program wing.

6. Students must remain awake, alert, and participative during the entire class in order to receive a “grade for the day”. This includes active note-taking and discussion. See grading policy.

7. Cell phones, cameras, or any headphones/ earbuds are not to be used in the classroom unless the teacher gives specific permission.

8. Cheating and copying of work is prohibited. This will result in a ZERO for the work in question. Please see the academic integrity policy in the FRHSD Student Handbook.
