Math Learning Center Online Free Math Applications

Adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers with unlike denominators, and rewriting them as equivalent fractions with common denominators in order to solve, will be mastered in this unit, and revisited in Units 3 and 5.
Division of whole numbers with fraction or mixed number quotients will be developed in this unit, and revisited for mastery in Unit 7.
Multiplication of a whole number by a fraction will be developed in this unit, and revisited for mastery later in Units 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Games for Extra Practice

Fraction Track - In this 2 player game, students must add, compare, and find equivalent fractions in order to race from 0-1, moving across a series of fraction tracks. This is similar to Work Place 2B: Racing Fractions.
Equivalent Fractions - Divide and shade circles (like clock practice) or squares to create equivalent fractions and find the fractions on a number line.
