Membership in the PTA is an annual fee. We aim to offer the lowest rate possible to encourage parents and teachers being aware of activities and school needs. Membership remains at $7 per person to cover state and national membership dues. You can become a member at any time of the year.
The PTA runs an annual membership drive from mid- August through the end of September as a way to encourage yearly membership renewal. The event also aims to encourage each learner being represented by at least one family member. Each grade competes for the highest percent of students represented, where winners get funs prizes such as extra recess time! Each room getting over 40% of students represented also earn a fun prize. Staff are also encouraged to become members and get entered into a raffle for fun supplies like prize bin or other school supply items. Become a member! Our learners would not be successful without the dedicated staff at Freedom Elementary. We aim to provide surprise and planned appreciation events throughout the school year to show our gratitude!

Reading challenges are held in September (1 to 30) and February (1 to 28) of each school year. Learners are encouraged to log their minutes each day on the provided form. These events are supported through programs such as September Panda Express Reading Program and a themed January Reading Program.
This event is to help new learners become oriented with the school and for staff to assess skills and ability. The PTA supports this event with volunteers and spirit wear sales.

We aim to support the school and learners starting back by hosting the back-2-school event! This evening event is dedicated to learners meeting their new teacher and seeing their new classroom. Festivities include a photo booth, food trucks (including sweets!), and bounce houses.

This event aims to help new and established families, learners, and staff interact and socialize! The event will be paired with grade music programs throughout the year. A light breakfast is served, purchased by the PTA and area sponsors, for all family and learners able to attend the morning event.

This event specifically helps raise funds for the 5th Grade Ski Trip that occurs in December. The goal is to raise enough funds to cover all 5th graders so everyone can participate! The Boo Bash encourages donations to attend the event. During the event, sales of food at the snack shack and activities help raise funds. Activities include a photo booth, face paint, glow items, temporary hair dye, and spirit wear stations. All individuals in costumes can also enter into the free costume contest that occurs over the Freedom PTA Facebook Page.

This event and the donation drive that starts in early November aim to build awareness and charity for those families in our district that need assistance - especially during the holidays. The event includes a local permitted bingo with gift card prizes and a 50/50 raffle. The 50/50 raffle further supports additional food items that are donated.

This event is exclusively for 5th grade learners to celebrate their time at Freedom Elementary coming to an end. The PTA assists with planning and covering as much of the expenses as possible. The 5th grade learners spend the day traveling to a ski area nearby, learning and having fun skiing with fellow classmates and family present.
This event requires 5th grade family volunteers as chaperones. Volunteers will be recruited specifically through communication to those families.
Students will get a chance to enter their artwork for a chance to be used as the Yearbook cover! More details to come!
The FUN RUN is our annual fundraiser which supports our students and faculty directly. The fun run drive kicks off on April 30th and ends with activities on May 18th.
Donating to this fundraiser supports events & programming at Freedom Elementary including--Lego Robotics Club, Fit4Life, Student Leadership Program, Kindness Week activities, Battle of the Books, Classroom Grants, Field Trips, Back to School Night, Muffins in the Morning, Boo Bash Dance, Turkey Bingo, Teacher Appreciation & MORE!

Freedom Elementary Library hosts book fairs in conjunction with Parent-Teacher conferences held in October and March of each school year. The book fairs are supported by the PTA starting with setup, event cashiers, and tear-down for each conference session. We need volunteers!
October Parent-Teacher Conferences: Monday, October 13 and Tuesday, October 14.
March Parent-Teacher Conferences: Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17.
