This list is not intended to be comprehensive. It includes the favourite works for the oboe family written by Canadian composers, submitted to me recently in a survey. This survey was sent to most college oboe teachers in the United States and Canada. This list also reflects the extensive research of Canadian oboist Dr. Elizabeth Eccelston, who has just finished her DMA document entitled An Annotated Bibliography of Canadian Oboe Concertos , and National Arts Centre Orchestra principal oboist Charles Hamann, who has recently released several CD’s of Canadian oboe repertoire.
