Positive Behavior and
Social Emotional Resources
The YMCA of Frederick County Head Start has implemented a Program Wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) plan. The plan focuses on four core values (Responsibility, Caring, Safety, and Respect) using our program mascot of a Bee. You may find reference to our BEE mascot when in our program or participating in virtual events. The four expectations of YMCA Frederick Head Start guide staff, children and families in all areas of the program. The fours expectations are:
BEE Responsible- To do what is right and take care of myself and others.
BEE Caring- Be kind to others, yourself and the environment.
BEE Safe- Be free from harm.
BEE Respectful- Treat others as I would want to be treated.
