Family Advocate and ERSEA Team
The Head Start Family Advocates serve as a link between the family, the program and the community. Families have the opportunity to identify their strengths, interests and goals with their family advocate throughout their time at Head Start.
Ready Rosie, our parenting curriculum, is a simple tool for you to use. Ready Rosie is aligned to Ready Rosie the Creative Curriculum for Preschool used in our classroom (both virtual and center based). By signing up for and using the Ready Rosie app or website, along with the Teaching Strategies app, you will be able to hear about what your child is doing in the classroom. Family Activities
We are so excited to be able to offer a few outdoor in-person events this year, starting with a trip to Stoney Lick Farm in September. Recorded Family Events will be posted on this website, with videos and resources provided. We invite families to join our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/YMCAFrederickHeadStart/ and leave comments and /or pictures on activities they are working on at home. This is a great opportunity for parents/guardians to interact with each other and staff, and to share learning activities and parenting tips. We also invite you to use Ready Rosie, and share any feedback you may have.
