Accessing Imagine Learning Platform
Students should bookmark the above link because this will be the login screen they will use to access courses on a daily basis.
Students will receive an FCPS email account. Students should check this account daily.
Students will receive a login to their FCPS student email account with their username and password and directions for accessing the Imagine Learning platform.
A parent observer account is available for monitoring communication between teachers and students and observing student progress.
Parents are also able to message their child’s teachers via the observer account.
Accessing FCPS Canvas
All middle school students in grades 6-8 will take Health and PE and students taking 10th grade Driver's Education/PE will access these courses in Canvas. These courses will be taught by and FCPS teacher and accessed on Canvas. If you are using a school issued chromebook, Canvas will automatically pop up on a tab when you open Google Chrome. You can also access Canvas by opening Google Chrome and logging into your student email account. Then, in the top right corner, click on the "waffle button" and scroll down to click on Canvas.
Student Expectations
Follow the Code of Conduct for FCPS students.
Communicate with teachers regarding questions, concerns, or additional instruction.
Regularly check your student email account and Imagine Learning Inbox.
Maintain expected grade progress (Stay On Pace).
Participate in required assessments.
Failure to log in by the mandatory start date may result in withdrawal.
Support Services & Extracurricular Activities
Virtual students may access counselors, IEP services, gifted programs, and 504 plans.
Virtual students may participate in FCPS sports, clubs, and school events.
Contact the school's virtual liaison for in-person event participation.
Grading and Course Completion
Grade Reporting:
Grades are accessible through the Imagine Learning Portal, and will be reported to families on a quarterly basis.
Families are encouraged to regularly check the portal for updates on student progress.
Course Credit:
To receive credit for a course, students must complete at least 80% of the coursework and receive a passing grade. Falling short of this requirement will result in the student not earning credit for the course.
Academic Support:
Licensed teachers are available to support students with their coursework. Office hours and contact information will be provided at the beginning of the course.
Additional tutoring and academic support services may be available upon request.
On Demand Tutoring: Expert tutors are available to provide real-time, individualized support online for grades K-12. Students can reach out to tutors directly from their lessons via chat and audio call to get help with concepts in: K-12 English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies and grades 6-12 French and Spanish.
