Our Staff

The Student Services Building houses a number of student support services, including: School Counselors, School Social Workers, Nurses, Check ins and Check Outs, and the Attendance Office. We all work together as a team to help serve our diverse student population in MANY different areas! Check out each section to read more about what each group of individuals does for our school.

Meet Your School Counselor

Counselor caseloads are divided by last name. School Counselors perform a number of tasks, including, but not limited to:

Help students understand their potential with regard to abilities, aptitudes and interests as they relate to present and future opportunities
Empower students through development of decision making skills and acceptance of the responsibility that comes with decision making
Establish meaningful relationships with parents, guardians, and outside agencies which provide related services.
Provide counseling services for all students, including those with learning, physical, social, and emotional problems, through individual and small group conferences held with students on the basis of parent, teacher, principal or self-referral
Collaborate and consult, both internally and externally, with parents, classroom teachers, school principal, visiting teachers, school nurse, and psychologists

Meet Our School Social Workers

Mrs. Samantha Strong

Mrs. Madison Drew

School Social Workers help to provide services that strengthen home/school/community partnerships and alleviate barriers to learning for our students.

This job contributes to the development of a healthy, safe and caring environment by advancing the understanding of the emotional and social development of children and the influences of family, community, and cultural differences on student success and by implementing effective intervention strategies.

Mrs. Strong and Mrs. Drew are located in the Student Services building!

Meet Our School Psychologist

Mrs. Christina Gibson

School Psychologists specialized in psychological work in a school setting to enable students to achieve optimal learning.

Mrs. Gibson collects, interprets, and synthesizes information about a student's sensory motor/perceptual functioning, academic achievement, intelligence, social/emotional adjustment and significant crises that influence academic and behavioral functioning.

Mrs. Gibson is located in upstairs Law.
