RISING 8TH GRADE IMPORTANT DATES

• February 27th  - Registration meeting via electives (course guides and registration forms will be passed out along with the Honors information).

• March 2nd  - Rising 8th grade dialout to remind parents to turn in forms.

• February 27th - Rising 8th Grade parent night at TGC.

• March 7th  - Registration Forms due to guidance.

RISING 8TH GRADE DATES TO REMEMBER FOR HONORS (SCIENCE, CIVICS, ENGLISH)

• February 27th  - Students will receive HONORS INTEREST PACKETS during registration meetings via Electives

• February 27th - Rising 8th Grade Parent Night at TGC

• March 7th  - HONORS INTEREST SHEETS are due to Mrs. Richardson

• March 10th  - HONORS APPLICATION PACKETS and TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS FORMS will be distributed. 

• March 17th  - HONORS APPLICATION PACKETS and TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS FORMS due to Mrs. Richardson

• March 24th  - Administration meeting to review Honors Data

• March 31st - Honors acceptance/denial letters will be mailed out

• April 11th - Honors student/parent agreements due

ALGEBRA FOR RISING 8TH GRADERS

• March 26th - Algebra Test letters go out to ALL 7th grade students.

• April 4th - Algebra Forms due.

• April 24th and 25th - Rising 8th Algebra Testing and Word problem for Algebra and Geometry Consideration (2 sessions).

• June 12th - Algebra and Geometry Acceptance/Denial Letters Mailed.

Registration forms are given to students at the school.  If your student loses the form, have them report to guidance for another copy.
