RISING 7TH GRADE IMPORTANT DATES
February 7th - Registration meeting via electives (course guides and registration forms will be passed out along with the Honors information).
February 26th - Rising 7th grade dialout to remind parents to turn in forms.
February 25th - Rising 7th Grade Parent Night.
February 28th - Registration Forms due to guidance.
HONOR PROGRAM IMPORTANT DATES (ENGLISH, MATH, SCIENCE, AND CIVICS)
February 7th - Students will receive HONORS INTEREST PACKETS during registration meetings via Electives.
February 26th - Dialout sent to all rising 7th grade families.
February 25th - Rising 7th Grade Parent Night at BFMS.
February 28th - HONORS INTEREST SHEETS are due to guidance
March 4th - HONORS APPLICATION PACKETS and TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS FORMS will be distributed.
March 11th - HONORS APPLICATION PACKETS and TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS FORMS due to guidance.
March 24th - Administration meeting to review Honors Data.
March 31st - Honors acceptance/denial letters will be mailed out.
April 11th - Honors student/parent agreements due.

Honors/Advanced Studies
Honors/Advanced Studies courses are designed to challenge motivated students to understand and apply rigorous content. Honors/Advanced Studies science and social studies are offered in grade 7. Teachers will follow the standard pacing guide while providing in depth instruction.
