Frasch Lab
Welcome!
Our lab works on finding solutions for some of the big medical problems using AI/ML tools. We are interested in both, bottom-top and top-bottom approaches, as both have their unique advantages and use cases.
Our focus is on perinatal health of mother and child (before and after birth). This domain of healthcare may seem at first to concern only a relatively small number of people (38 million births annually in the U.S., E.U. and China combined). However, the data analyses on population level (and common sense) clearly indicate that true repercussions of neglecting maternal and perinatal child health (prevention and early detection) are far-reaching with life-long and transgenerational impact on health and economies. It is very worthwhile and rewarding to tackle these problems.
