What has this pandemic taught us?

The pandemic has changed the lives of numerous individuals, and it has taught every single one of us valuable lessons. We have discovered that as people, we can adjust to practically any circumstance. We learned that we are altogether similar individuals that experience similar things. We have learned that, as a society, we are connected to each other, and the amount we rely upon social interaction. Finally, and most importantly, we have learned that we are resilient.

This pandemic has taught everyone how adaptable we are and how we can change to fit any situation. For example, schools went virtual and we discovered different approaches to education. I used to attend an online school, and regardless of the ways that it wasn't perfect, it taught me that people in my community can adapt to fit a specific set of objectives.

Furthermore, something else that struck me was how similar everybody is regardless of race, social class, or gender, somebody identifies as, everybody has been affected by this pandemic. Along these lines, individuals are doing their part and cooperating to help people in their community. They are making masks, giving food, and volunteering. This has taught me exactly how comparable we all are to each other.

Despite the fact that this pandemic has caused positive effects, it has likewise caused many negative effects. One of these is that we don't have as much social connection. During the shutdown, I took a drive around my town, and it was completely empty. Parks that would normally contain happy children were replaced with eerie silence. Parking lots and roads were completely empty, like a ghost town. As people, we used to connect with several people per day face to face. Presently, the vast majority don't communicate with anybody face to face other than their immediate family. This has made numerous individuals feel lonely and isolated. This has taught me how connected we all are, and how dependent we used to be on social collaboration. When this pandemic is over, I will have a new appreciation for interacting with my friends in person.

Numerous things have emerged from this pandemic, some more unfavorable than others. The pandemic has helped me realize how connected we all are and how much help is needed around the world -- even without COVID-19. The pandemic has also helped me learn a lot about my community and myself. The principal characteristic that I have learned about our community is grit. Our community has fit this perfectly. We have been courageous, we have persevered through these times, and most importantly, we have all been resilient to this pandemic.
