Individual Counseling:
I work with the mental health team at each school. If I feel that a student may need more than I can provide, I give the counselor their name and what's going on.
We are in our second year of the GEER Grant, which provides funding for a mental health therapist to come into BMS and WHHS to see students, referrals for these students come from both mental health teams. This is our last year of the grant, so I am actively looking for other ways to sustain the additional mental health services for our students.
The Kentucky Center for Grieving Children and Families will come to BMS to provide a 12-week program for students dealing with grief.
Operation Making a Change (OMAC) will provide a 12-week program for identified students.
