In order to get the most out of the wonderful learning opportunity that attending Nursery has to offer, we require all children in our Nursery to take up a full time 30 hour place - Monday to Friday 8.55am to 3.00pm.
All children aged three and four are entitled to 15 Hours Universal Early Education Childcare Entitlement a week at no charge.
Children in some families will also be entitled to an additional 15 hours of free childcare, otherwise known as the 30 Hours Childcare or Extended Entitlement.
Your eligibility depends on:
if you are working
your income and your partner’s income (if you have one)
your child’s age and circumstances
your immigration status
To check eligibility for the Extended Entitlement (30 Hours Free Childcare) use the Childcare Choices website linked. By answering a few simple questions you can find out what funding is available for your child.
Parents who believe they are eligible for the Extended Entitlement (30 Hours Free Childcare) must apply directly to Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) not the Local Authority or the Childcare Provider.
Applications can be made from June 2023 for a September 2023 start.
Parents can apply online via the Childcare Choices website where they will need to click on the 'Apply now' button on under the Age 3 & 4 section.
In order to apply you will need the following to hand for you and (if relevant) your partner:
your National Insurance number
if you're self-employed, your Unique Taxpayer Reference. You are sent a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) when you first register for Self Assessment. Your UTR is on notices to file a tax return or payment reminders sent to you by HM Revenue and Customs. Look for a 10-digit number, sometimes with a letter 'K' on the end. It's sometimes just called 'tax reference'
the date you started, or are due to start work
details of any other government support you get
Parents will be asked by HMRC to confirm their details are up to date every 3 months or their code will expire.
Eligible families will receive an 11-digit code which they will need to share with the school by 30th August 2023.
Please complete the linked online NURSERY FUNDING CODE FORM once you have been issued with your code to ensure we update your child's file.
If you do not qualify for the Extended Entitlement you will be required to pay a fee for the additional 15 hours a week.
The fee is due in 3 termly chunks and are payable directly to the school via our online payment system which will be set up for you once your child has started in September.
