Parent Teacher Home Visits Program Trainer & Campus Aide at Fuller Middle School
"Having been a teacher, I always wondered what the other parts of the day were like for my students. I truly appreciate that Framingham Public Schools has developed the Parent Teacher Home Visit for just this reason! We have had my daughter's teachers to the house a few times now where my daughters have had the opportunity to switch roles and be the teachers of their own space. They love to show their teachers their room, their belongings, tell them stories about themselves in the comfort of their home. But what I most appreciate about the program is that it gives the teachers context beyond the classroom of who my child is. It makes the story 3D! Thank you to you all!!!" ~ Fuller Middle School
"The Home Visit was truly one of the highlights of my daughter’s school year and, more importantly, a meaningful experience for our entire family. It was wonderful to see the connection between our daughter and her teachers extend beyond the classroom.
My daughter was so proud and excited to welcome two of her favorite teachers into our home. She eagerly showed them her room, introduced them to our dog, and shared stories about family photos, artwork, and other things that are meaningful to her. Her teachers were genuinely engaged, asking thoughtful questions and listening attentively throughout the visit.
What stood out most was their sincere interest in getting to know our daughter as a whole person—not simply as a student. Their thoughtful questions sparked meaningful conversations with our entire family and gave us an opportunity to share more about her personality, interests, and life outside of school. The Home Visit was a beautiful reflection of the care and thoughtfulness her teachers bring to their relationships with their students. It made our family feel valued, understood, and truly connected. It was a remarkable experience that we deeply appreciated." ~ Fuller Middle School

"[My child] had an amazing home visit with Ms. Weiss and Ms. Thomas! She felt very special and honored to have her teachers visit her in her home, and she was so excited to show them all of her favorite drawings and toys--she almost would not let them leave! I think this has made a huge difference to the connection between [my child] and her teachers, as during the regular school day there is simply not enough time for each child to be able to share one-on-one all of the things that are most important to them.
