The trail mapping project at Foxcroft was done in the Engineering during the years of 2021 and 2022. The project mapped and blazed both Pink House and Mountville Trail. There are posts on both of those trails with their respective signs, blazes, and markers helping guide the way of hikers in the woods!

In these review I got into the specifics on how to make signs, posts, and blazes. For example, my initial thought was the spray paint the posts but then Ms. Anderson told us that the spray paint would not last, so we moved to painting the posts. Furthermore, we confirmed design choices to be more geometric. These design review confirmed what the plan was further down the road. After the "okay" we then started mapping and blazing Mountville trail!
This is a significant design phase because we added a new element to the project.... markers! In this design review we got feedback on the final design of the markers by adding in our prototypes and showing prior art.

In this period of time we got a lot done! We measure the distance of Mountville and placed markers. We also fixed confusing areas and added 'mini-maps' to the confusing loop. Additionally, we added markers, blazes, and signs to Pink House trail... we also painted posts for this!
