Project Goal:
Our main objective and motivation is to help faculty and students move wheeled carts and wagon in and out of Schoolhouse more easily. This will help protect everyone from unnecessary injuries from transporting heavy items. This project took one semester to build this first ramp custom designed for Schoolhouse. We hope that more ramps can be built to make other buildings across campus more accessible.

Instructional Video and Instructions
Video Tutorial:
Instructions:
Open the storage container next to the schoolhouse steps.
Pull 1 ramp out of the container
Open up the latch and open up the ramp
Set it down on the stairs so the grip is facing upward and the arrows are pointing toward the door. Make sure the ramp mold fits into the first step as seen in photo 2.
Repeat steps 2 - 4 with the second ramp.
Make the ramps as far away or as close as needed for the wheels of your wagon, cart, etc, to be able to roll up without issue.
Roll your wagon, cart, etc up/down the ramps, and make sure to have the door already propped open or open it when you get up the stairs.
Enter schoolhouse and place your wagon, cart, etc next to the lounge, and come back outside, or place your wagon, cart, etc far enough away from the ramps.
Fold the ramps back up and latch them.
Carry them back to the storage container and place both ramps in as shown in photo 8 or as shown in the video.
Close the storage bin.
Ramp don'ts
Do not walk in between the ramps when rolling your wagon, cart, etc.
Do not pick it up unlatched.
Do not set down the ramp with the arrows facing the flag pole.
Do not leave the storage container open after you have finished using the ramp.
Do not leave the ramps on the steps when you are done using them.
