About Me:

I have been a classroom teacher for 27 years and have successfully integrated technology into my lessons from the early days of "floppy disks" to current technologies and the world of 1:1 devices, STEAM, and the ISTE standards.

Having graduated from Biola University in 1994 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, I completed the teacher credential program at Humboldt State University in 1995 and immediately began teaching in the primary grades.

In 2014, I had the privilege of participating in the E-Reader Pilot Program through the Humboldt County Office of Education and was one of the first classrooms in Humboldt County to have 1:1 devices. Fast Forward to 2021 and the 1:1 devices are now Chromebooks and I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from Grand Canyon University.

Mission Statement

My mission is to empower and inspire students, teachers, administrators, and support staff across the district to leverage technology as a tool to differentiate instruction, assess learning, create engaging learning experiences, communicate with all stakeholders, and to promote digital citizenship in order to increase learning outcomes, academic growth, and personal growth as 21st century learners.
