Fortuna hosts elections twice a year. Once for delegates at the beginning of the academic year (September), and once at the end of the academic year (May) to elect a Fortuna board. The sign-up procedures for these are communicated through Instagram, email, and the Student Life Events group chat. For these elections, an Electoral Commission is appointed. The procedures surrounding these elections can be found in Articles 13, 16, and 60 of the Rules of Procedure.
A General Assembly is a meeting to which all Fortuna members are invited. The General Assembly will convene as often as the Administration or Members deem necessary, but at least once a year. The main subject at the General Assembly is the approval of the yearly budget, which the committees can amend. The General Assembly is hosted in the LUC Auditorium. Throughout the Association Year, the General Assembly is replaced with a Delegate Assembly, that handles the mandate of Fortuna on behalf of all Fortuna members. At the DA, the Fortuna members are represented by elected Delegates, 6-8 from each year. The DA conducts financial housekeeping throughout the year, provides consultation on institutional decisions, and can produce DA opinions to be brought to appropriate boards, councils and other governance bodies within the University College.
