Arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes before bus is scheduled to arrive
Socially distance at stop. Signage and marking may be present to assist with social distancing
Masks shall be worn while waiting for bus to arrive
Temperature will be checked by Monitor and health screen will be conducted by
Driver/Monitor prior to boarding the bus
Students with a temperature above 100.4 and/or other symptoms will be returned to the parents/guardians (if present)
If parent/guardians are not available to receive student, then student will be isolated to front seat on door side of bus.
School officials will be notified by radio and will meet bus upon arrival at school to escort student to isolation area for further evaluation
Students that have presented a temperature above 100.4 and/or symptoms during the school day will not be permitted to ride the bus home from school
School staff will notify Director of Transportation and/or Driver
Masks are required for all students unless
Medical waiver is on file with school office and/or
Documented in students IEP
Students unable to wear a mask shall be socially distanced from other passengers
If capacity concerns arise, student’s route could be adjusted
Each bus will have a limited supply of masks for those students forgetting to bring one
Hand sanitizer will be available to all students upon boarding by monitor
All students shall have assigned seating
Best effort will be used to have assigned seat the same for each route
Siblings and/or those living in the same household will be seated together
Monitor will take attendance every day and every route
Daily reports will be stored in bus office and weekly given to Director of Transportation
Students/Parents will not be able to alter bus stops without conferring with the Director of Transportation and/or school staff at least 3 school days in advance of said change
Permitting altering bus stops will be at the discretion of the Director of Transportation
Students are expected to follow all policies and procedures while riding the bus

Students not following policies/procedures and/or directions from Monitor/Driver will be documented and given to school staff and Director of Transportation
Continued and frequent issues could result in loss of riding privileges
Any actions that put staff or students at safety or health risk will be dealt with promptly and can result in immediate loss of riding privileges
1 Driver and 1 Bus Monitor per bus
Will be completed/documented at the beginning of each day
Daily records will be stored in bus office and weekly given to Director of Transportation
Director of Transportation should be notified immediately with health screening questions or abnormalities

disposable masks should be replaced at least daily if not more frequently
Nitrile gloves or equivalent are required anytime bus is in motion and/or students are on board
Gloves should be changed frequently but no less than each bus route
Hand sanitizer or washing hands should be used prior to applying gloves
Driver/Monitor and/or district personnel will be required to clean bus following each route
No students will be on board or in proximity of bus when cleaning occurs
Disinfect/Sanitize and/or wipe down
All utilized seats during route
All high touch areas – handrail, windows, top of seat backs, etc.
Additional equipment – handicap straps or buckles, preschool vests, etc.
Driver area including bus controls, fans, radios, etc.
Limit exposure after cleaning to allow for proper and ample drying time
No students shall be boarded until cleaning process is complete
Disinfect and/or sanitize products should not be stored on bus
If necessary, products will be locked in a location not accessible to students (overhead compartment or other). Aerosols will not be stored in bus at any time.
Increase circulation of outdoor air as much as possible given weather conditions
Do not open windows and/or roof hatches if they pose a safety or health risk
Front Row (if applicable) on both sides of bus to remain empty
Driver side is for a social distance buffer between riders and driver
Door side is for an isolation section for students exhibiting unhealthy symptoms
Expand section as needed to facilitate safe transport of ALL students
An empty row between isolation area and other riders is required
Assigned seating is required for all passengers
Limit number of students per row (as possible)
Students not able to wear masks shall be socially distanced
Recorded attendance of ridership shall be performed by monitor per route
Capacity limitations will be decided in conjunction with local health officials
Loading will occur from rear to front and unloading will occur from front to rear
All students shall be on passenger manifest provided by Director of Transportation
No unassigned student shall be permitted to board the bus
Exception: A safety situation which puts the student at risk
Director of Transportation shall be notified immediately once it is safe to do so
