Requirements for Cheer

Attending Chaffin Middle School in Fall 2025 as a 7th or 8th grade student

Proof of physical examination by physician, must provide copy to coach prior to tryout practice (good for 15 months)

Must pass classes for 2024-2025 school year

Attendance by candidate and parent at mandatory meeting on February 6th

Complete all paperwork received at tryout meeting

Time Commitment 

Cheerleaders are expected to be at all games and practices 

Football season - one game per week (Thursday)

Basketball season - two games per week (Monday, Thursday)

PE class - daily practice

After school practices as needed

Camp - All team members MUST be at camp for the full 3 days. 

2025 Camp Dates - July 7th, 8th, 9th

Competition

Participation in competition will be mandatory for all 2025-2026 team members

Choreography - All team members MUST be at choreography clinic for the full time.

Attendance is required at all competitions (Saturdays)

Choreography Date - TBD (in summer)

Competition Season - Mid November-Early December

Financial Responsibility

Yearly Dues:

New Members: $300

Returning Members: $245

Due by the end of the 2024-2025 school year

Paid in installments

Camp Fees: approx. $265

Due by the camp date

Paid in installments
