Thursday, April 9 -
Good evening Pathfinder families,
We hope this email finds you and your family safe and well, and the resources we’ve sent home have been manageable and helpful. We have had several questions about missing assignments. We ask that students work on current assignments, those that started on April 6, first. We will not grade missing assignments until all current assignments have been completed. It is important to keep in mind grace and flexibility for teachers, parents, and students.
In an effort to make sure we are providing clear resources and guidance we have a few short surveys, both for parents and students. For parents- please fill out the survey linked HERE and on our Pathfinder website: tinyurl.com/OTMSPathfinder. It is a parent survey meant to help teachers and provide us feedback.
We also have shared two student surveys. These can be found for students in Pathfinder Advisory Google Classroom. Please encourage your student to complete these surveys so we know how best to meet their needs with distance learning moving forward.
We encourage students and families to connect/reconnect with each other and to take time to do what’s best for you and your family. If there is anything we can do to support you in this time, please reach out. If it is not something we can help with as teachers, we can connect you with the proper resources. To access information the Pathfinder website is going to be the go-to resource for both parents and students for Pathfinder Distance Learning.
Monday, March 30th-
Good Afternoon Pathfinder Families,
Thank you for your support of your students! To ensure our Pathfinder students stay current and prepared in their learning, the Pathfinder teachers will be posting lessons in our Google Classrooms. This week (March 30th - April 3rd), please finish all missing work from the previous weeks and the new ELA lessons. Starting on April 6th, all teachers will be assigning new materials.
As we go forward, parents can find this information and all correspondence on our Pathfinder website listing all assignments for the week. Students will access the materials and turn in work through Google classroom, but this resource will help parents and students see all the assignments in one place.
All OTMS teachers will be holding office hours from 10 AM - 12 PM Monday through Friday. During this time, teachers will be ready to answer student concerns within a few minutes. Pathfinder teachers will be checking their emails throughout the rest of the school day if parents or students have questions.
On Friday, April 3rd, students are invited to a Google Meet with all four core teachers to discuss student expectations during distance learning. Links to the meetings will be sent in the Pathfinder Advisory Google classroom.
Please encourage your students to complete these lessons, read, and spend time outside (weather permitting). We look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
The Pathfinder Team
Monday, March 23rd- No emails or lessons posted- Happy Spring Break!
Monday, March 16th:
Good Afternoon Pathfinder Families,
Thank you for your understanding during this time Fort Osage School District practices social distancing. To ensure our Pathfinder students stay current and prepared in their learning for state assessments in May, the Pathfinder teachers are posting supplemental lessons in our Google Classrooms.
Mrs. Howard will have one document on her Google Classroom, sharing the weeks worth of Math lessons for students to complete.
Mrs. Saxon, Mrs. Goss, and Mrs. Kemper will post their lessons daily in their Google Classrooms. Their lessons will be posted everyday at 8:00 am.
Pathfinder teachers will be checking their emails throughout this time, if parents or students have questions. Please allow teachers 24 hours to respond to your emails.
Please encourage your students to complete these lessons, read, and spend time outside (weather permitting). Students may also work on missing or late assignments during this time of social distancing. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
The Pathfinder Team
