Course Overview
AP Biology is an advanced Biology course in which students are given the opportunity to obtain college credit. We will cover college-level material over the span of two semesters and at the end of the year students will take an AP exam in which they receive a score of 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. Every college requires a different score in order to award Biology credit. (Many require at last a 3, however an increasing number only accept a 4 or 5. *See the AP Biology FAQs page for more information regarding this.*)
Taking AP courses can be a great way to save money. While the AP exam costs roughly $80 to take, this is significantly less than how much you would be paying to take a Biology course in college. (Financial aid is offered to some students as well to help pay for this cost.)
