Teaching is an essential component of most careers. Training new employees, explaining concepts to clients, and being able to communicate ideas clearly are key components of most careers. The Teaching as a Profession program is geared toward future teachers but would be beneficial for students going into many careers.
The Teaching as a Profession pathway at Lambert High School consists of three courses where students are active participants in the learning process as they explore what it means to be an effective and inspiring teacher, coach, and mentor. The final practicum includes a hands-on, student-teaching experience with a required portfolio component. Students will also complete a mock interview and take the End of Pathway Assessment during the Spring semester.
