Together We Shine
Together We Shine
Coal Mountain Families,
Thank you to everyone who came out to our 1st Annual Level Up! Math and Literacy Night! It was a wonderful event and we had a great time playing math and reading games with you and your Miners! We also had a great time celebrating our Principal Pals and Gem Award Recipients at our Awards Breakfast! There are so many ways that our Miners are shining and we will continue to find ways to celebrate them! We want to give a special shout out to all of the CME Teachers and Staff Members who made Level Up! Night a success and to our counselors for their hard work on our award breakfasts.
Coming up soon is Teacher Appreciation Week and we are so excited to celebrate our entire CME staff for all they do for your children every day. Please be sure to check out the information sent out from our Coal Mountain PTO so you can help us celebrate them! Thank you to all who volunteer their time and provide treats for our teachers in the coming weeks for Teacher Appreciation Week!
In Partnership,
Kelly Fuchs
Principal
Coal Mountain Elementary
💎Attendance Matters💎
Did you know that regular school attendance is one of the biggest predictors of student success? When students show up each day, they stay on track with learning, build strong relationships, and develop habits that last a lifetime. Even just a few missed days can add up, making it harder to catch up academically and socially. Our Miners do best when they are at school all day, every day!
Let’s work together to help every student show up, grow, and thrive—because every day truly counts!
As a reminder, the latest you can check your child out from the front office is 1:45pm. If you come later than that you will be asked to meet your child through their regular afternoon transportation method.
Additional information regarding Forsyth County Schools’ Attendance Policy, including excused absence information, can be found here.
