Together We Shine
Coal Mountain Families,
We so enjoyed getting to spend time with you this week at Parent Academy and cannot wait to welcome visitors back to The Mountain next week!
Please be sure to read through the whole newsletter so that you won't miss any of the important information below. Our counselors have added a Counseling Corner section to the newsletter with great information for families! Each month we have many fun and exciting things going on and don't want anyone to miss out. Most importantly, our PTO Color Run is right around the corner. Please ensure that you are reading the emails from PTO, talking to your child about the exciting events they are experiencing with the Booster team, and make plans to join us on September 12th if you can!
In partnership,
Kelly Fuchs

Partner Connect Spotlight
Eye Level is a systematically designed after-school supplemental education program catering to students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. We are grateful for their partnership and donations to our school which impact our students in countless ways! Conveniently located on GA-9, the Eye Level center is just a mile from Exit 17 (northbound) or Exit 18 (southbound) on GA-400. Consider having your child take advantage of Individualized Instruction while building a strong foundation in English and Math, and developing Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills. See their information below with a link to their website to learn more!
💎Attendance Matters💎
Did you know that regular school attendance is one of the biggest predictors of student success? When students show up each day, they stay on track with learning, build strong relationships, and develop habits that last a lifetime. Even just a few missed days can add up, making it harder to catch up academically and socially. Our Miners do best when they are at school all day, every day!
Let’s work together to help every student show up, grow, and thrive—because every day truly counts!
As a reminder, the latest you can check your child out from the front office is 1:45pm. If you come later than that you will be asked to meet your child through their regular afternoon transportation method.
Additional information regarding Forsyth County Schools’ Attendance Policy, including excused absence information, can be found here.
