Together We Shine
Together We Shine
Coal Mountain Families,
Teacher Appreciation Week was fantastic! It was such a wonderful treat to have students surprising teachers with little gifts each day and sharing joy with them. We made wonderful memories and had great learning opportunities with our Miners! Thank you for supporting our teachers!
We hope you all have a wonderful Spring Break! Be safe and have fun! We'll see you on The Mountain for all the spring fun soon!
In Partnership,
Kelly Fuchs
Principal

💎Attendance Matters💎
Did you know that regular school attendance is one of the biggest predictors of student success? When students show up each day, they stay on track with learning, build strong relationships, and develop habits that last a lifetime. Even just a few missed days can add up, making it harder to catch up academically and socially. Our Miners do best when they are at school all day, every day!
Let’s work together to help every student show up, grow, and thrive—because every day truly counts!
As a reminder, the latest you can check your child out from the front office is 1:45pm. If you come later than that you will be asked to meet your child through their regular afternoon transportation method.

2026 Annual Parent Involvement Survey for Georgia Families Raising a Student with a Disability
Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) Division for Exceptional Children
In Partnership With Parent to Parent of Georgia (P2P)
GaDOE Division of Exceptional Children will work collaboratively with Parent to Parent of Georgia (P2P), the statewide Parent Training Information Center, to identify needs in family involvement within the state and local districts based on statewide survey results. In order for all students to graduate prepared to achieve a lifetime of success, families need to be an important part of the school team. It is critical that the GaDOE assist local school systems in partnering with families to raise the achievement rate for students with disabilities.
Completing this survey will assist in achieving this goal. Geographic area, ethnicity, and disability group data is collected to ensure the results are valid and reflect the overall demographics of the state. Be sure to indicate ethnicity as requested. The GaDOE is surveying parents of students with disabilities throughout Georgia. Individual answers are kept confidential. Each response will be coded by a number – not a name.
What will be done with the information collected? Why are you being asked to complete a Statewide Survey? How do you complete the survey? Who is being surveyed? Why do you want to know my child’s ethnicity & disability?
Who do you contact for help with completing the survey?
Parent to Parent of Georgia at 800-229-2038 / www.p2pga.org
Special Education Help Desk at 404-657-9968
You may also call your local school system’s Parent Mentor.
