Welcome SHRM Representatives
This year the FMR was held Six Flags over Georgia. Our Chapter took 85 students and had a blast! Our very own Ameya Jadhav addressed the attendees as State President.
Our Chapter took [x] members to the Fall Leadership Conference. This was the first in person conference for these students in 1.5 school years and they loved it!
The DHS FBLA Chapter recruited new members by participating in or hosting the following events:
Great Dane Experience
The Great Dane Experience occurs early in the Spring Semester of each school year. This event takes place on a Saturday morning and all incoming freshmen are invited to tour the school and learn about the clubs and organizations. FBLA operates a booth and educates visitors in hopes to recruit future members.
Club Fair
The club fair is held during lunch periods early in the school year. Students are invited to browse booths and learn about clubs and organizations they can join. FBLA participates in this event in attempts to recruit and educate.
Rush Week
This event occurs around the third full week of school annually. A theme for each day is declared on the social media account associated with our chapter. Fun activities like Scavenger Hunts with prizes are also offered to interested students.
Kick Off Meeting
The first FBLA meeting of each school year is called our Annual Kick Off. ALL students are invited to attend this event to learn more about and hopefully join.
Annual Football Tailgate Party
Each year our school designates one of the home football games as a school wide tailgate party open for all clubs and organizations to participate in. The FBLA tent offers snacks, waters, and fun games for people to partake in.
