AP Psychology is a overview of psychology, the equivalent of Psych 101 in college. We cover topics such as human development, consciousness, motivation, and the influence of biology on behavior. Since you can receive college credit, this class is more rigorous than your standard high school course. Vocabulary is a major component of this course, so make sure you study the terms of each unit diligently. If you intend on taking the AP exam in May, it is essential that you frequently review the content. The purchase of a study aid and/or the creation of a study group is advised. Everything we do is important.
Be on time.
Be prepared.
Be present, mentally & physically.
Be courteous and respectful, at all times to all people.
Be honest.
The Forsyth County Schools Code of Conduct states, “Cheating, plagiarism, altering record, or other fraudulent act on school assignments, exams, records, or college entrance examinations; using the computer network for any illegal activity such as copying or downloading copyrighted software, music, images or violation of copyright laws which includes using BYOT devices to copy or share copyrighted items or intellectual property” (pg. 15).
If you cheat in any way on any assignment, you will receive a zero and your parents/guardians will be notified. Cheating on summatives results in a referral and your parents/guardians will be notified. This includes discussing test questions/answers, the unauthorized use of technology, and the use of AI/ChatGPT.
Meet the AP Psychology Teachers of Denmark High School

Hello! My name is Brittany Rhodes and I have been a social studies teacher for ten years, the last eight of which have been in Forsyth County. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Auburn University in 2012 and my Master's from Georgia Southern University in 2020. I have also earned certification for gifted education and online teaching. I was born in Hershey, PA but ironically hate chocolate and candy. I have moved several times and have been fortunate enough to visit 36 states and 22 countries. In addition to teaching at Denmark, I sponsor the Pride Alliance & UNICEF, and coach girls golf. I am also an AP Psychology instructor for Forsyth Virtual Academy and Georgia Virtual School.
