Hi, I am Brooke Vituli, a second-year graduate student in Mental Health Counseling at Fordham. I grew up in Marlboro, New Jersey, and earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, where I majored in Human Development and Family Science. During college, I was the president of Phi Upsilon Omicron, a National Honors Society for the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. I also interned at the ASPIRE Clinic, where I gained diverse counseling experience and clinical exposure. Currently, I am completing an internship at the Renfrew Center of New York, an outpatient facility specializing in treating anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating, and other eating disorders. These roles have taught me the value of teamwork, community, and mental health. In my free time, I enjoy baking, watching rom-coms, and going on scenic walks around New York City. I am eager to continue my passion for mental health by being a part of the Student Relations and Activities leadership team for S.A.M.
Maddie is currently a first-year graduate student in Mental Health Counseling program and started the program in July of 2024. She graduated from Colorado State University, where she double majored in Journalism and Sociology with a minor in Anthropology. She originally wanted to pursue a veterinary career as a veterinarian, but after witnessing the great need for pet caregivers and veterinary professionals to have support during difficult moments of treating animals, she changed gears to become a counselor instead. She aspires to become a licensed New York State therapist who helps people process and cope with death and grief, especially when it comes to losing animal family members. In her free time, Maddie does volunteering all across New York City, with her next project serving as a Team Leader of a Social Emotional Learning Program for an elementary school in the Lower East Side.
Ameek is a first-year graduate student in the Mental Health Counseling program at Fordham GSE. She holds a B.A. in Media Production with minors in Psychology and Film Studies from Radford University. As an undergraduate, she was an NCAA Division I athlete, competing on the women’s tennis team and serving on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, where she advocated for the mental well-being of athletes. Ameek is passionate about mindfulness and meditation practices that support mental wellness. Her academic interests include psychodynamic approaches, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care. She aspires to work with adolescents and adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, perfectionism, eating disorders, and intergenerational trauma. Outside of her academic work, Ameek enjoys video editing and creating online content that blends psychology with spirituality. As an international student from India, she is excited to bring her perspective to the SAM team!
Will is a first-year student in Fordham's Mental Health Counseling program. He grew up in Bethesda, MD and received his B.S. in Human & Organizational Development and East Asian Studies from Vanderbilt University. After a five-year stint in Beijing, China, helping American companies bring their products and services to Chinese consumers, he returned to the United States to earn his MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Upon graduation, Will worked for Walmart for almost nine years, spending the majority of his time in their People organization trying to improve the experience of over one million American employees. His time in corporate America helped solidify his passion for helping people and he is thrilled to continue his studies at Fordham. Given the intensely relational aspect of our future profession, he is driven to get to know his fellow classmates and future colleagues on a deeper level and looks forward to leveraging the S.A.M. platform to do so!
