Women need the recognition they deserve. They should be getting what they are putting into their work. And they should have more opportunities to prove that they can have the same respect and appreciativeness as men.

Women deserve the same rights and responsibilities as men have in not just Hollywood but also in life. Even though women were in charge of the behind-the-scenes for silent films, there was a larger reason why they were silent. In these films women acted in silence because the men could control the movements of the women. If women were allowed to act in normal films then men could not control their movements and how they portrayed women entirely. Women should have a right to speak their thoughts and for women in film their action of expression of their emotions was to act and to be in movies. And when men limit their ability to do so they are taking away the right to self expression.
