Social Analysis

In an effort to assist those who are suffering and being injured as a result of social media and a variety of other factors, several social systems and social structures have been established over the course of the past couple of years. 

Social Systems are groups of individuals and institutions that come together to create a functional society. An example of an organization working for change within a social system is The Suicide Hotline. It creates a safe environment for everyone to call and talk through their problems or just overall have someone to talk to in moments of feeling down.

Social Structures is the word used to describe all of the interdependent connections between the different institutions and social groups that people create and join. An example of an organization making positive change within a social structure is The MARC Center.  It is a group that informs people about the dangers found in online spaces.

“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” (Psalm 42:11) 

• This scripture passage relates to my topic because why are teenage girls downcasted? Why are they not treated like everyone else in the world? And we teenage girls pray to God to be our walking stick and help us through this

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” (2 Corinthians 1: 3-4) 

• This scripture passage relates to my topic because we are asking God to comfort us throughout these hard times.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12) 

• This scripture passage relates to my topic because God is telling us to never let anyone look down on us just because of our age.
