My Action Plan

I created a two part documentary that focuses on the sensationalization of true crime from the perspective of a local story and an overall education side as included as well. The overall goal of my documentary is to educate viewers and share with people that this is a not a far out issue, but rather one that impacts people right in our own backyards.

The Idewell neighborhood of Weymouth Ma has been the main backdrop for a local news story that resurfaces every few years. Richard Gardner is a serial child rapist who was born and raised in the Idewell neighborhood of Weymouth where his parents, who are in their eighties, still reside today. In my documentary I dive into how this quiet suburban neighborhood and other Weymouth organizations are haunted and sensationalized by the continuing case of Richard Gardner.

Journey with me as I educate you about the growing issue that is sensationalized media, specifically that in the true crime genre.
