ASIAN AMERICAN SUPPORT

Justice is defined by providing equitable and fair opportunities for all to thrive. Asian-Americans, however, face a lack of resources as a result of racism, prejudice, and other reasons, which limits their ability to truly thrive and reach their potential in America.

It is difficult for Asian-American immigrants to obtain resources available to them and to adjust and thrive in American society due to long-standing racial tension, anti-immigration bias, and a lack of awareness of the issue. From research regarding the lack of resources available to Asian Americans to help them adjust and thrive in America, I have discovered that anti-Asian and anti-immigration biases and a lack of awareness about the struggles that Asian Americans face block Asian Americans from succeeding and is a root cause of this injustice. This particular issue needs to be addressed and changed as this is barring Asian Americans from their success in America. Society needs to educate itself and spread awareness in regards to the extent of this social injustice and take action to prevent this specific injustice from continuously occurring.

In addition, this issue described is systemic injustice, as it results from the brokenness of the system. The systems in question include the United States political system, the government system, and the economic system. Throughout American history, Asians in America have experienced exclusion, inequity of resources, and have been blamed when there were major shifts in current circumstances. This injustice has been embedded in structural reality by the cause of anti-immigration and xenophobic laws, democratic-republican, capitalistic, and white supremacy ideologies. Asian Americans are severely affected as a result of this systemic injustice because it is increasingly difficult for them to thrive in America.

Asian American Support was created in response to the racism, bias, and inequity of resources toward Asian Americans that prohibits Asian Americans from thriving in America. The platform works to assist Asian Americans to adjust and thrive in America by spreading awareness regarding the racist and anti-immigration actions towards them and connecting Asian Americans with the resources that they need to thrive in America. In doing this, I hope to be able to spread awareness regarding the issue on hand and to provide assistance and support to Asian Americans who are struggling to thrive in America. By spreading awareness and centralizing resources for the Asian American community, hopefully, more Asian Americans will be able to thrive in America.
