There are amazing documentaries out right now that talk about the exploration of child actors. It's not good to ignore these things anymore, and we grew up watching these people for entertainment and they were being treated horrifically behind the scenes. 

You can help to educate other people on this injustice and its history to help spread its word and raise greater awareness for it. 

Helping to sign petitions or to maybe go to your local government to try and get protection for child actors is very good, even if nothing comes of it it still helps to raise awareness.
