During the 2017/2018 school year, instructional coaches, Mary Rosenthal and Shannon Schultz, partnered with the 5th grade team of James Adamson and Andrew Lentscher at Roberts Elementary to continue our work with implementation of the UDL principles.
We are very proud of the growth, learning, achievement, and sense of community that occurred throughout this school year.
To kick off the school year, we began with implementing "Significant 72" and recognizing that every student has a S.T.O.R.Y. We learned about Significant 72 and the concept of the S.T.O.R.Y from Greg Wolcott at the FIRST Conference held in Fond du Lac, WI in August 2017.
Just like our students were demonstrating growth, we noticed that we were growing in our abilities to plan and design learning opportunities for our students.
Our team from Roberts shared our path towards implementation of the UDL guidelines and principles at the Wisconsin DPI Reaching High Expectations conference in Wisconsin Dells.
