Recording the speakers saying the sentences is highly recommended! Before you do, here are some tips to help you prepare:
Make a test recording on the phone/laptop will use to record the fluent speaker
Make sure the audio is not too loud, quiet, or distorted
Get a feel for how soon the recording starts after you push the button (you really don't want to accidentally lose the first bit of the recordings)
If recording in Language Forge is not working, try recording to a program on your device like Voice Memos or Voice Recorder and using the "Upload an Audio File" option in LF
Try to find a space that is quiet (no fans running, or barking dogs)
Ask the fluent speaker to say the sentence twice with a short pause between or just once

Choose the word you want to add a sentence for
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the word
Click "Add Example"
Under "Sentence", click the microphone button on the right
A larger microphone will show up; to start the recording, click it once
The speaker should wait until the numbers start changing under the microphone to talk
To end the recording, click on the microphone again
Preview the audio by clicking on the play button to the left
If it sounds good, you can click the check button to the right
If you need to record again, you can click the microphone
Put the speaker's name in the box right above the audio recording (Chn-Src)
Only one audio file can be added per sentence, so be careful not to overwrite an old file
Under the Sentence, click the cloud button on the right
You can either drag a file from somewhere else (like the desktop) or browse for one
Choose the file you want to upload, select "Open"
Preview the audio by clicking on the play button to the left
You can delete or replace the audio by clicking the three dots to the right
Put the speaker's name in the box right above the audio recording (Chn-Src)
Ask what the sentence means in English, then type it in the "Translation" field
Write the sentence in Chinook in the "Chn" field under "Sentence"
Make sure the source field is filled
You can add another example sentence if you have one
