Hello! My name is Katie Sardelli and I am delighted to serve as the Career Development Facilitator at Catawba Ridge High School.
I'm originally from New York, but have lived in Virginia, Ohio and Boston, MA, before settling in the area in 2007. My family and I moved to Fort Mill in 2014 and are happy to call it home.
I hold a Bachelors in Economics from The College of William and Mary and a Masters of Science in College Student Personnel (Student Affairs/Higher Education) from Miami University (OH). During my undergraduate program, I attended Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in London as a summer honors project. After earning my degrees, I worked as a professional Residence Hall Director at both Emerson College and Winthrop University. In those roles, I ran residence halls that housed up to 300+ college freshmen, taught introduction to college courses, and collaborated across the universities to ensure our students transitioned successfully to college life and succeeded academically and personally.
In 2012, I was tasked with serving as the inaugural Director of Military, Adult and Transfer Services at Winthrop University. Our office provided student services, programming, advising and individual support for the 1200+ students who entered the university following attending another school, serving in the military or returning from the workforce. I also coordinated all undeclared advising for the university and worked with mainly freshmen students who were exploring various majors and careers. During this time, I earned my Global Career Development Facilitator certification.
I have now joined the Catawba Ridge staff, following working at the Fort Mill School District Office for several years. I am thrilled to be working with students to help them explore the many options available to them following high school graduation!
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our daughter, cooking, reading and crafting!
