How do you decide which courses to take since there are so many options? It will depend on course progression and your post-secondary plans, what do you want to do when you leave high school?
What is the difference between standard courses, honors courses, Dual Enrollment, Advanced placement or AP classes, and AICE?
Standard courses provide a traditional high school curriculum and prepare students for post-high school learning, such as college or vocational school.
Honors courses are suited for students who work at an accelerated pace and desire a more academically challenging experience. Course content encompasses our standard-level curriculum with added extensions and engaging lessons that require students to do more independent study. It is strongly recommended that students selecting honors courses have an A or B in previous honors level course, or an A in the previous regular course, and FSA Reading score of a level 3 or above and have passing scores of Level 3 or above on the Algebra I EOC for honors math courses.
