No, it is completely optional to do the projects and if you do not want to do them when you are in the meeting you are always welcome to do them after.
Recordings can be found on the Meeting Recaps page along with the slides for that meeting. (Note: Information regarding recaps is also emailed to you!)
You should not work ahead because the writing activities in the journal are a part of what we do at meetings. If you were to work ahead, you would be unable to participate when we do these activities at meetings.
The extra activities would be working on the activities in the CWC journal that we do not get to cover during meetings.
Begin by writing what you know about. Keeping a journal can help you with getting started- jotting down ideas, things that you see/hear/smell/experiences that can all lead you to writing a story, or poem, etc.
Yes, we have events such as open mic night in which students submit pieces for approval and if approved get read out loud. All special events will be listed in the Calendar page.
Doing the challenges and prompts on the writing challenges and prompts page as well as taking a look at the resources and inspiration page can help combat writer's block.
