Duty of care (PLEASE READ!):
A special note on rehearsals before school:
Please bring your child into school and hand them over to their conductor!
Why am I putting this in bold, red letters? Because I need parents and carers to take heed:
For morning rehearsals, you remain responsible for your child until they are under the supervision of the conductor!
Does this really need to be in red and bold? Yes, because there is no Department of Education teacher on duty before 8:30am, and until a student is under the supervision of their conductor, the duty of care remains with the parent or carer, even if the child is on school grounds.
Rehearsals after school:
We ask that students make their way to their rehearsal space right after the bell goes at 3pm. If their conductor isn’t there, and (for whatever reason) doesn’t turn up at the rehearsal start time, students should go to the school office and let the office staff know.
