Tutoring
Please contact your teacher to make a tutoring appointment.
The most common problem with students who are struggling is their inability to seek extra help. The staff here at MHS is more than willing to go above and beyond to help students who are having problems understanding the content area.
Tutoring is available in every CORE area. Please contact your child's teacher to find out when he/she is available.
Tutoring Schedule:
EXTENDED LEARNING OPPORTUNITY (after school hours)
Every MONDAY and THURSDAY
3:15-5:00 in Coach Echols classroom
Students can work on homework, missing assignments, make-up work, test re-takes, or work in Edgenuity.
Mrs. Penny and Mrs. Workman are available for tutoring during this time as well.

EXTENDED LEARNING
Extended Day: Mondays and Thursdays from 3:15-5:00pm. (beginning August 29th)
Who is it for?
Anyone who is BEHIND academically meaning they have previously failed a class and need to recover the credit.
Students who are missing work or need to re-take a test. Teachers can refer a student or the student can request his/her work to be sent.
Will students need a Chromebook?
YES! But Chromebooks will be accessible during the Extended Day period.
Students will report to Coach Echols classroom by 3:15.
What will students do during this time?
Students who are credit deficient will be assigned a Credit Recovery course in our online program called Edgenuity. Students may continue work at home in this program as well. All testing must be completed under a teacher's administration.
Students who are missing or making up assignments will communicate with his/her teacher to find out what they need to complete. Teachers can refer students and send work (online or paper/pencil) for the assigned student.
Is transportation provided?
Transportation will NOT be provided at this time.
Snacks will be provided as well.
