The PLC is an independent learning program designed for students who need an alternative path to graduation. Students complete most of their coursework online and are supported by certified content area teachers. Students who complete all required coursework at the PLC receive regular diplomas and are eligible to graduate from AHS, CHS, MHS, or PHS. The PLC will house their own students on each individual high school campus in the 2024-2025 school year.
In order to enroll in the PLC, students must:
Obtain and complete an application from their home-school.
Go through an interview process and be admitted to the PLC. Generally, students are accepted to begin the PLC in August and January.
Students should also meet the following requirements:
Be in good academic standing
Have a good attendance record from the previous school year or semester.
In the PLC students may be earning new credits and recovering credits in courses they have previously failed.
Credit Recovery is completed using Edgenuity, a web-based course, aligned with the State of Georgia’s curriculum and standards, designed to enable students to regain credit that was lost as a result of a failing grade.
