The Instrument rating will allow you to operate an airplane with only reference to flight instruments. The Instrument rating will not only enhance your flying skills, but provide you greater flexibility in weather you may fly in, resulting in more confidence as a pilot.

Although the Instrument rating is considered one of the most difficult – it is also very rewarding.

Flight Test Prep Academy's instrument course is engaging, classroom course packed with in-flight video and graphics that will include all aeronautical knowledge items required of an instrument pilot. Aeronautical knowledge areas include operating aircraft under IFR, aviation weather, FAA regulations, navigation, aeronautical decision making and crew resource management.

This 16 hour course comes with the instructor endorsement that's required by the FAA for you to take the test.
