About me!

Hello! My name is Gabrielle DeFrangesco, and I grew up in Norristown, PA. I attended and then graduated from Norristown Area High School. I decided to pursue my education at Kutztown University and will graduate in December 2024 with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, PreK-4. I aspire one day to get my Master's degree as a Reading Specialist, hopefully at KU. 

Throughout my time at KU, I joined the hall council for two dormitories and had three jobs: KU Bookstore, Dixon Marketplace, and University  Place Desk Receptionist. In addition to my on-campus jobs, I was placed in a Kindergarten classroom at Millmont Elementary for my Professional  Semester. My student teaching placement was at Andrew Maier Elementary School in a fourth-grade classroom. Both were extremely different experiences; however, I learned more than I could have hoped for. I gained more classroom management skills, time management,  and the raw emotions of having a support system in your classroom means to students.

Outside of my responsibilities with my education, I work at a small diner on weekends in my hometown. I've been working since I was 14 and realized that this job has helped me with different skills I will also need in the classroom.
