Artifact #1: KU Undergrad Transcript
Danielson 1a: Demonstrating knowledge of content & pedagogy
My undergraduate transcript from KU is included. This demonstrates my mastery of the material and my acquisition of several skills that I will apply in the classroom. I've also had a lot of classroom experiences throughout the years, and I've taken what I've learned from them to my own classroom. This demonstrates my knowledge and promotes me to be a live long learner.
Artifact #2: Accommodations Menu
Danielson 1b: Demonstrating Knowledge of Students
In the spring of 2023, this Accommodations Menu assignment was finished as part of a Special Education course. A range of educational adjustments for various learning difficulties are offered on this menu. This illustrates I am able to do research and find engaging strategies for accommodating students with learning difficulties.
Artifact #3:
Danielson 2c: Uses and maintains classroom procedures, including appropriate transitions
I created this poster to help students remember the rules of our discussions. These are useful when students are turning to face each other or simply engaging in casual conversation. When I do a morning meeting or a guidance lesson, I frequently refer my students to this poster. Having reminders and visuals creates an additional tool in the classroom.

Artifact #4: Bucket Filler!
Danielson 2d: Sets behavioral expectations, monitors behaviors, and uses positive classroom management techniques
Using pompoms, the school implemented positive reinforcement during my semester as a student teacher. Students received pompoms each time they fulfilled one of our school's promises. The students could select a reward day after the bucket was full. They used this technique throughout the entire school. Research has shown that positive incentives promote student engagement, and think about their actions before doing anything.
Artifact #5: Opinion Writing Unit
Domain 3b: Uses a variety of critical thinking questions and promotes questions and discussions
I had created a course during my student teaching experience that guided students through the writing process so they could create original works of opinion writing. In order for them to create their own work, I have to ask them specific questions and have one-on-one conferences with them during this time. This justifies how well my students know the writing process and improves their skills.
Artifact #6: Unit post assessment
Danielson 3d: Integrates/records formative assessments throughout lesson and gives students feedback
This rubric, which I developed with a few teachers, was used to evaluate their opinion writing. The students were then handed this, and we may have one-on-one conferences if they had any queries regarding their grade. This suggest if I need to reteach a lesson, and how well they did on their writing piece.
Artifact #7: Parent Letter
Danielson 4b: Communicates effectively with families
I wrote this letter to parents to introduce me. For both my professional and student teaching semesters, I utilized the same letter. Parents were given this to inform them of my involvement in the classroom, who I am, and my contact information. To keep parents informed about what was happening in the classroom, we also used ClassDojo every day. This demonstrates the rapport I am building with my student's parents.
Artifact #8: Spirit Days!
Danielson 4c: Participate in building a supportive professional community
I participated in several spirit days during my student teaching experience. We celebrated Halloween, Idiom Day, School Spirit, Red Ribbon Week, and PJ Day. There were several chances for the teachers to dress up alongside the children, and it made the atmosphere quite friendly. This indicates the community I have built in my classroom with my mentors, students, and other school staff.
