• Your child will receive a dictionary to keep at home.  He or she will also need a 100 page composition notebook (they will run out of space if it’s 80 pages)

• Child friendly definitions

Every third grade student is required to complete a monthly home book summary assignment (Oct - May).  Extra summary form is here.

Students can access Benchmark Advance texts at home through their district Clever login.

All 3rd graders should be reading for fun and enjoyment every day!  This can be done independently, with a parent, to a sibling, or even with your pet!  Remember to read a variety of types of books and to read books that are appropriately challenging for the student.

Use the website fab.lexile.com to check the level of the book your child is reading.  If you are unsure of what level your child is currently reading at independently, please contact me.

Students can use this website to play ABCya word games, as well as many other subject games.  (Note:  This website is only free when used on a chromebook or computer - there is a charge to use on a phone/iPad as an app.)
